Congratulations to J. Kinchen!
The school board has selected the three pieces of art work created
by students to represent the district in the Louisiana School Board Associations
art contest.
Julia's artwork was chosen to represent 5th-8th grade.
Her artwork will compete on the state level during the LSBA convention held in
Lafayette, LA from March 1-3, 2012. They will be judged against other students in
their category from around the state.

Congratulations to Z. Corkern!
He was recently awarded trophy buckles for his 2011 Rodeo season.
Z. is part of the 4 man youth team “The Cowboys” who won the
1st Place Championship Buckle for the 2011 Top Hand Ranch Rodeo Series at the 5D arena in Zachary.
Z. also won the 1st Place All Around Cowboy Buckle for the Elm Park Youth Rodeo 2011 Series (7-11 Division).
He continues to compete in the Extreme Ranch Rodeo Series in Gonzales as well as the USA Team Ropings.
Congratulations to K Bennett!
He recently received 2nd place in the Sr. Youth Division of the
South Louisiana Team Sorting Association Finals.
His team placed 4th in the Novice Division out of a total of 91 teams.

Recently he competed in the
Youth Rodeo at Elm Park in St. Francisville.
He placed
1st in Team Roping, Breakaway Roping, & Dummy Roping
and 2nd place in Flags & Goat Flipping.
He is also part of the "Circle C" team that placed
2nd in the Ranch Rodeo held in Gonzales.
